So Convenient

Very handy for M42 and bus into Birmingham.  Check bus times back as not very frequent.  Great museum and art gallery, free entry, in City.  Wardens made a great effort with flowers and herbs to use. Loads to do for all ages round Birmingham. Used M6 toll home with big reduction using Caravan Club card. Will be back.

Lovely weekend

The site was very close to the M42 and easily found. The toilet block was spotless and the showers were good. Everything we needed was close at hand. Friday morning we got the bus to Birmingham  and saw Crosby, Stills and Nash at the Symphony Hall that night. We stayed in town and got back to the site Saturday evening. The site was perfect for doing this and the buses are fantastic to get around Birmingham. We left on the Sunday and it was a real pleasure to talk to Vicky and Paul who were opposite. Such a happy atmosphere and they even knew someone in the road where we used to live! We were very pleased to have chosen Chapel lane and wouldn't hesitate to book there again. We left as a very happy couple indeed.

We have just returned from the Chapel Lane site, Wythall and will definitely be returning as there is so much to do in this area. It is a very well maintained site with pleasant helpful wardens. A special thank you to Bob Taylor who came to our assistance on the morning of our departure when we had trouble with one of the caravan steadies.

Family of 4

Our family stayed one night. Very clean facilities, dog walk was useful and nice and quiet. If you like a lie in be aware the toilet block is out of action between 10am - 11am to be cleaned. There is wifi but you have to pay for it. A very well kept site.

Perfect weekend get away

As our 2nd ever time of using our caravan we chose somewhere fairly local to us. The site was so clean, well laid out and beautifully decorated in the reception areas with flowers and hanging baskets. The toilet block and showers were clean, big and well laid out. Our children (4 and 5) made friends instantly and spent the remainder of the weekend racing up and down the strip outside our van on their scooters, hopefully not to the annoyance of other caravaners! In the 26 hours we stayed there we met so many lovely people who gave us so much advice as novice caravaners.  The whole weekend was fabulous and we would certainly recommend the site.

Overnight Stay

We stopped at Chapel Lane on our way back home from Cornwall, arriving late due to horrendous traffic the staff were brilliant directing us to a Tarmac area where we just dropped our caravan feet leaving the car connected so we could grab a bite to eat and get our heads down. The facilities which we used the following morning were spotless. We would highly recommend this site and will certainly visit again and explore the local area.

Chapel Lane Marmite

We have been here several times and always enjoy our stays. The reception was looking very floral and the warden's work diligently for our benefit. The dog walk has improved since our last visit in January, though we often take our pooches by car to one of the many parks nearby, the lanes are both narrow and busy close by. Some road noise can be heard but we are close to the motorway network here and the road at the rear is very busy too. Birmingham, Shirley & Solihull are places we like to visit. I have heard several references to some non-awning pitches as a 'car park'. I think it is the Marmite effect, you either love or hate it. The site has some lovely clean pitches and you can choose your own

Ideal stop over or explore the area, September 2015

We stopped at Chapel Lane on route to Devon and were delighted! The pitches were all immaculately, non awning sites tarmac which I think is ideal for all the rain we have, keeps things cleaner without the mud when wet. Toilet blocks immaculate as well. Easy to find and close to the motorway for ease of access makes the location perfect! Once on site the peace and quiet was noticeable, lovely! We will be staying here again. Family rating not relevant as we are older members not travelling with children.

Good base to explore the midlands

Only stayed 1 night but enjoyed our trip. Thought the car park style pitch layout good as I find separate pitches tight normally. Lovely staff. Clean.

Non awning pitches not very desirable.

We were only on an overnight stay at this site and I had booked a non awning site so as to allow people staying longer to have the facility of an awning if they needed it, but I was very disappointed in the pitches when we arrived, they were on a car park, I felt like a new age traveller, no offence to them, but we don't pay a yearly membership fee and pitch fees to stay on a car park, this was at the end of our weeks holiday and if I had known we were going to be on a car park I would have booked an awning pitch regardless, we could have carried on going and slept overnight on a service station for free. It should state in the description when booking a pitch if non awning is going to be on a car park. Not a happy camper at all.
