Despite being conveniently located near major motorways (M1, M6 and M42) and the National Exhibition Centre and Birmingham, Chapel Lane Club Campsite is a rural gem. Set in the shadow of a charming old chapel and with a pleasant open-field horizon, this West Midlands campsite is ideal for those with an interest in our industrial heritage with fascinating museums close by to take you back in time.

The NEC has no shortage of things to do all year round, with exhibitions, festivals and top international performers on offer. Getting into Birmingham is easy from site and has plenty to explore, including the Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery, Thinktank Science Museum and the Museum of the Jewellery Quarter. History lovers shouldn’t miss Aston Hall, a 400 year old Jacobean house or National Trust Birmingham Back to Backs, which offers a glimpse into the lives of ordinary people from 1840 through to the 1970s. The city is also home to the famous Bullring for shopping and entertainment.

The Transport Museum is adjacent to the campsite, and just a 15 minute drive away you’ll find the famous Cadbury World, a must for anyone with a sweet tooth or interested in the history of this iconic brand!

Just a 40-minute drive away, The Black Country Living Museum in Dudley provides an excellent day out, where you can explore the set of 'Charlies Yard' from the TV series 'Peaky Blinders'.

A ten minute walk will take you to Becketts Farm Shop with its restaurant serving hearty meals. Facilities on site include a small dog walk, but if you’re looking for more green spaces to explore on foot or by bike then Lickey Hills Country Park, Edgbaston Reservoir and the Birmingham Canals are peaceful spots to explore close by. A bus stop 50 metres from the campsite means you can get around without taking the car.

Please note: Birmingham's Clean Air Zone comes into effect from June 2021. Whilst Chapel Lane is not within this zone, we advise members to review Birmingham's Clean Air Zone and check at Gov. UK Clean Air Zone if charges may apply for your vehicle to drive into the city or pass through the zone on your journey to site.
