Grand Central?

If you want to have a look at Birmingham's new shopping mall at New Street Station, or visit the roof top garden at the new library, the museum or just shop, this site gives good access.  Bus stops for the City are nearby.  This site is surprisingly rural despite this, with plenty of trees and farmland near. The site was clean and tidy, the toilet block we used (there are 2)was very clean if a little dated. All credit to The Wardens.  The farm shop 10 mins walk away will provide an excellent breakfast, to add to your collesterol count!

thank you

We have stayed at Chapel Lane twice in the last two months and both stays have been hassle free the wardens have been very helpful when needed, and unobtusive going about their daily business, it is a clean tidy site.My only bugbear was the 8 rockpegs I bent hammering in the rockhard pitch, we are back in November taking a Kango hammer this timeL  LOL

Unhygienic campers

Stayed for NEC Show Wonderfull site and wardens, facilities always immaculate, shame about men who use toilets but have no idea how to use toilet brushes supplied to clean their mess up after using facilities come on those responsible don't leave it for others or the hard working wardens

Great Stopover

Have stayed several times. Very useful stopover and very handy for NEC. Great Farmshop and Warehouse within walking distance. Wardens fine and helpful. As a Motorhomer my only grouse is the grey water emptying facilities, a fault at most or all CC sites. I know there are many that feel the same, please do something!

Chilled out

We stayed here at the end of September. It was a good stopover to break up the long journey home from Cornwall. The wardens are very friendly and really helpful.  It is just off the motorway but feels like your in the middle of the country side it is a good site if you want to chill out but if you want a bit more life Birmingham is only an hour by bus. There is one bus in the morning that picks up outside the site and drops off back at the site during the day. We visited the nearby farm shop only ten minuets walk from site. You can find a wide variety of food a word of caution their pickled onions are very very spicy. There is also a lovely restaurant and coffee shop.

First time in 25 years!

We are staying at this site. We have stayed here a handful of times and always had a good experience. We have had a nice welcome, a great pitch and are looking forward to a good rest, as my Wife recovers from a recent operation.  She usually likes to clean the windows when we arrive on site. We usually use the water from our Fire Bucket. A habit from our rallying days safety first Etc.... Perhaps the Warden is stressed out as there are an awful lot of vans arriving today. But I was shocked when I was told by the Warden, not to wash my caravan on site! I explained, I'm cleaning the windows!!! He insisted this wasn't allowed. Has anyone else been told this? It's a new one on me. I could understand if I had a hose out connected to a tap and was stood on the roof! For goodness sake, let have some common sense. :-(

Great find

Excellent location off m42. We used the site as a stop over to visit friends in the area. Booked a non awning pitch which was well maintained. Warm and friendly welcome from wardens. Toilets were immaculate and site appeared very well cared for. We will definitely return.
