Had a fabulous stay at this 5* site, at the end of March 2017. Could not fault the site at all. Although be aware that the 1 pm booking in time is strictly adhered to, so don't think you can sneak on early. We traveled from the York site, departure time 11:15 latest and had to stop half way to make sure we didn't arrive early. Lovely walk along a footpath in the park to the village that has two good pubs that do food, one dog friendly. Also an Italian restaurant and a shop/post office. If you walk in the opposite direction you soon reach Chatsworth house, and it's fabulous gardens. The site is also well placed to visit many of the outstanding attractions of Derbyshire. Will definitely return, if we can get in as it is constantly booked up.
