This site is immaculate and the wardens clearly spend a lot of time keeping the site well tended. The wardens are welcoming and friendly, the site just looks so neat and tidy and the toilet block is cleaned to a high standard. This site is a great example of how good CAMC sites can be. In the vicinity Cheddar village can be quite touristy but the local church adds a lot of rural charm with its bells (but they can be intrusive). You can walk to the village away from the main road (and as the latter doesn’t have footpaths for long stretches it is best avoided) and there is a Medium sized Sainsbury’s and a Tesco Express within a 5-10 minute walk. Wells is worth a visit - if only for the Hot Fuzz connection - but parking can be a bit of an issue in high season. I only wish it was closer to my home!
