Great location

We only stayed 3 nights but had a great time exploring Cheddar Gorge, the caves and Jacob’s ladder. There are plenty of tea rooms and restaurants at Cheddar Gorge- a 25 minute walk through Cheddar village although a major thoroughfare for lorries and cars. Sainsbury’s and Tescos Express are close by. Our site was large and the site was surprisingly busy considering it was off season and cold! There is a huge emphasis on not arriving before 1 pm which we were careful to adhere to. We received a friendly welcome. We found having to use a key to unlock the bathroom facility tiresome especially when we both needed to use the facilities; we didn’t ask if we could have another key. We paid for 24 hours of WiFi, it was poor quality and sketchy, we were disappointed about this as it supposedly had been upgraded. The site is tidy, clean and in a great location. Perhaps in the future the owners would consider opening a cafe’. We enjoyed our time there and it was quiet apart from the sounds of hooting owls at night- lovely.
