Great location

Lovely site, great wardens, clean facilities. Fantastic walk into Cirencester town, great for walking the dog. Good shops and plenty of dog friendly cafes and pubs. Caught the bus to Cheltenham, bus stop very easy to find in Cirencester, dog friendly, 40 minutes. Only gripe is WiFi and television signal. Had all the gadgets but WiFi kept dropping out, tv was hit and miss. Shame as site visited in November, late sunrise, early sunset.

A fabulous location for Cirencester

We stayed for two nights in our motorhome with our elderly dog. Being adjacent to the Bathurst estate was Ideal for us and we loved the walk through the park into Cirencester - such a picturesque way to approach the beautiful old part of the town. The staff were great and the facilities were kept clean. The only negative for us was the terrible mobile signal. We felt that free WiFi signal should be included on club sites where the signal is so bad.

Superb location in the park and near Cirencester, but pitches not ideal

The location within Cirencester Park gives free access to this very large delightful estate, yet it is only a 15 minute walk into vibrant and upmarket Cirencester. The town centre 'superstore' is Waitrose, and the markets outside the church are the most impressive we have ever visited. The Corinium Museum was wonderful, with so many Roman and earlier artefacts, including large mosaics, all discovered in the local area. We also enjoyed walking in the Abbey Grounds. The site itself is large, and maintained to a good standard. The main dissatisfaction for us was the shape of the hardstanding pitches, too narrow to park a car beside the caravan, let alone put up an awning, which we didn't. It meant parking the car across the front of the pitch, difficult if there was a pitch directly opposite, also with a car in front.. Also all the pitches we could see were quite sloping by club site standards, so every outfit needed levelling blocks. Comments have been made about the narrow approach road with its boulders; I guess there may be tensions between the Club and the College, who have planted wildlife borders along it. As well as really enjoying Cirencester, we spent some time in Stroud, which provides a very interesting contrast to Cirencester, and paid a short visit to Minchinhampton.

Lovely, well cared for site

1st time staying at this site. Used it as our base for visiting The Festival of the Horse at Gatcombe Park which is only a short easy drive away. Facilities where excellent. The staff very pleasant and our dogs where most impressed with the secure field they had for there use.

Great location and site

Site is large but well spaced, good choice of hard and grass pitches. Nice walk into Cirencester through Bathurst estate, it shuts at 5pm but walk in along road is easy. We used site vendor 'Pizza Alfresco' on the Thursday night, the pizzas are excellent and run by a friendly couple. There is a nice walk via Bathurst park to Stratton then into Cirencester. There always seems to be something going on in the market square. There was live music, beer and food on the Saturday night.

Cirencester Park Club Campsite

Stayed at this wonderful site a number of times and "Yes" have to agree with the other comments regarding the approach road, but if taken carefully shouldn't give too much of a problem. Once the site is reached it's really worth the slight inconvenience. It's a large site but never seems like it as all the pitches are arranged in their own little enclaves with ample room for all. The facilities are immaculate and the wardens do a fantastic job of ensuring they are kept to a very high standard. The only occasion I experienced anything that impacted on the cleanliness was when there was quite a mess in the "Gents" but in transpired that this was caused by some exuberant children, but even in this case the wardens attended to it promptly and without any fuss. Top marks to you guys. I personally don't think that enough people appreciate the tireless work these wardens do to make sure that their visitors have the best stay possible. The other fantastic thing about this park is its location to Cirencester. You can easily walk into the beautiful Cotswold Town either through Bathurst Park, which I would highly recommend, or by road, and once you do eventually tear yourself away on most nights of the week Pop-Up Food Vendors are awaiting you on site. This is one of the best club sites I have stayed at

Stop over

Used as a one night stop over. Very pleasant greeting at reception and site very good standard although also very busy. Cirencester is walkable through the park and also via the footpaths on the road in a short time. Many different pubs/bars and restaurants to choose from.

Great park, shame the pre 1pm brigade ruin your exit

Spent 3 lovely days here, and also enjoyed the Cotswold Show right next door. Cannot fault the site in any way, they even have different food vendors 6 days a week. There was some loud music from a nearby building, I am guessing the college or agricultural university on Saturday night until around 12am, but not enough to prevent sleep. The negative I have is with other members who arrive at this site pre 1pm (11:53) to be precise. The gentleman parked his car and van on the entrance road to the site in a passing place, and caused absolute mayhem for any car, caravan or motor home trying to exit the site. As previously reviewed, the approach to this site is narrow, and has large boulders placed along the road, so any passing has to take place using the passing places provided. Parking in one of these is making a difficult situation near impossible. I mention this on my review to make other members who are booking here to be aware of the 1pm arrival time, as if you arrive earlier you run the risk of blocking the approach road, or causing damage to your or a members unit.
