We returned to Clachan in 2015 after enjoying time there last year.  In the past we have stayed at the Maragowan site, also in Killin, when we had family with us and had more need of space and facilities. Clachan is fine for a couple who enjoy the peaceful countryside and the trees. Some pitches are in shade and some may get some sunshine but that will depend on choice at the time. You take that risk wherever you go! The only natural disadvantage is the greater tendency for midges!  Walking into the town is not good both for distance and narrow road but it is only a short trip and parking hasn't been a problem for us. The town provides all essentials and the area has plenty to explore!
