A Great Escape
This is a really nice spot in rural Nottinghamshire. Set in acres of parkland with great walks and places to explore. Didn't need to use the car at all during the weekend. Good facilities on site. But it does seem odd that the official closing time of reception is at 4.00pm making arrival for anyone leaving work a bit of a challenge. Luckily the wardens are pretty flexible with regard to arrival times.
Check out the National trust tea shop, nice cups of tea great burgers.
It would have nice to have been able to extend the weekend until 4.00pm but we're told that we a had to be away at 12.00, which again seems a bit odd when the site was pretty empty when we left and a sunday night in January is not really caravaning peak season!
