The site is situated among many trees, all pitches are cleverly placed between trees in hollows and in unexpected dells.Very pretty, such a change from the usual lines of vans.Much more like some continental sites.Walks are great with easy access to lake and wood walks.Facilities are almost brand new, spotless.TV needs booster cables, phone is ok. Wifi tends to be slow.Good for dogs and when we went plenty of choice of pitches.Wardens efficient and businesslike. The leaf blower needs a silencer though..horendous thing.Overall great place.
This was our first time on this site we stayed for eight nights with our two kids and the dog.The site is very clean and the toilet blocks are spotless the wardens are very helpful there are lots of walks for the dogs and the play areas for the kids are great there is a chippy van that comes on site twice a week the steak pie is great. We look forward in going back soon.
What a difference ! We had just spent a week on the Isle Of Man, a rather basic campsite costing about the same as Coniston. It made me think how good Caravan Club sites are. Spotless facilities, beautiful location, SPOTLESS FACILITIES. No grime in the showers, dazzling white porcelain, no mould growth around the sinks, all you would expect from The Caravan Club !
