August 2023. 2 nights. We booked 1 night but immediately decided to stay a second. Quickest route on foot into Coniston is via the top path near reception (20 mins) and this passes a pub on the way in. The path into Coniston from the bottom of the site is much longer. Obviously great walking area. We did the boat trip from Torver to Coniston but misjudged where the jetty pick up point was and had to wait an hour for the next one! (so check those maps). Woodland site with a lovely feel. Van at entrance was serving food and drinks every night. We enjoyed our pizzas. Pricey but worth it for the location.
