An interesting and pretty site with pitches tucked away in leafy grottos.  We came away with sticky sap on the sides of our motorhome.  I expect the helpful wardens will give advice on which varieties of tree to avoid. The trees create larger rain drops which continue to ping on the roof after rain or drizzle. Much of the ground was close to being waterlogged but we were put on a hardstanding. The nearest shop is a mile round trip.  No shop on site.  No tv signal but we were happy with just the radio.  Phone signal fine.  The composting toilets were a bit intimidating and not very private.  We wouldn't take small children anywhere near them.  The apertures are too big to be safe for them, in our view.  The nearness of the rail station is a big plus when it comes to getting about.  Some pitches looked rather close to the main road. An enthusiastic song thrush gave us a treat early each morning for half an hour and was even considerate enough to then move on to allow us to finish our slumber.
