Wonder wardens🦸🏼‍♂️

Having arrived after a journey full of mishaps and long traffic delays...I was at the point of putting my motorhome for sale and was asking myself why do I bother!! I was given a cheerful smile and greeting at reception thorough friendly introduction to the Crossways site and with blurry tired eyes I took my site map and headed off to find my pitch. I couldn't make head nor tail of the map so the first available white post I parked...no..I'm abandoned my vehicle to be fair it wasn't great parking..and the map was fab..I was just trying to read it with my driving glasses I later realised!!! Oh dear I was in a pickle! I stepped out my vehicle and woosh the rain started... I tried to bash my pegs into the ground with rain trickling down my neck and everywhere swear word running internally as my pegs bucked over like an ice-cream in a hot day! Enough I said...I was buckling too. I got into bed... everything and I mean everything piled on the bed as I couldn't get the awning up to decant my gear (I have a small van hence need that extra canvas cave!) I curled in a ball on the ledge of the bed im sure there was more space in my mother's womb!!!! In the morning I was ready to head home and forget my whole holiday. I was marching to reception for 9am..bottom lip a wobbling and there again we're smiling wardens who listened whilst I poured out my woes...then without me noticing they sprinkled me with fairy dust...and soon I was smiling too, learning about rock pegs (who knew...I do now!), being offered help, given empathy, reminded "we've all been there"...I went back to my little home skipping...sure enough after morning duties...I was shown to a more appropriate pitch for my inappropriate pegs and offered help to get my awning up...and still they smiled even though this customer was clearly having some kind of menopausal~motorhome~meltdown!! With everything sent up and a shower in the spotlessly clean facilities...I felt calm, cheerful and loving the outdoors life again... I can only conclude the fact that my motorhome is not up for sale this morning and I'm sat here under a tree with squirrels playing chase, deer munching grass just in the distance, my lungs full with fresh pine air and the calmness of mind down to the incredible kind, patient and understanding wardens at Crossways site. If ever they wish to give up this role I bet they'd make the best counsellors in this planet or alternatively in my experience they definitely should be made into superheros... actually they already are!!! Thanks so much you are AWESOME
