September Sunshine at Culloden

Visited here Sept 2015 on our Scotland Tour, lovely site, and a lovely welcome !!!!    We sited ourselves opposite the dog walk and had 2 lovely neighbours which makes your stay just that little bit nicer, dog walk takes you through a wooded area.  The site had just changed its road lay-out, and it caused confusion with some people but we found it Ok but we can understand where people are coming from as everyone now needs to pass the Childrens play area when leaving site, so the CC could be causing themselves a problem as some Caravaners cannot keep to the 5MPH rule.    SUGGESTION SPEED HUMPS BEFORE AND AFTER PLAY AREA.  We visited Fort George and this was fascinating and well worth a visit, we also visited Culloden Moor luckily we were on a tour so got good informative information, but did not find Culloden moor good value for money,  Had a couple of trips out to Nairn lovely little place and very cheap van selling sandwich, cakes teas & coffee's etc in sea front car park for unbelievably cheap prices we got 2 pieces of carrot cake and 2 coffee's for £3.70, how cheap was that.  Good site for a short stay but not a site for Children.

Summer in October

An enjoyable stay at this very nice site.. which I would say is more for adults rather that families with children. Good base for visiting the many interesting attractions of Inverness and surrounds. The one way system is a bit odd but trying to get people to observe 5mph is a hard job.  Wi-fi needs to be installed, Inverness is a big town (city) had great wi-fi at New England Bay , which is at worlds end!! had our small car on tow behind m/h so access to everything was great.. Chanonry Point and the dolphins were a highlight. The shop could carry a few more items and van-retailers visiting the site should be encouraged... bread, fish&chips,  etc. Overall well worth a return visit

Lovely peaceful site

Had a lovely early October weekend here at Culloden, very clean and tidy site, very friendly wardens as well.   Have visited this site several times over the past few years, my minus points would be no fully serviced pitches and we did not like the new one way system that has been introduced since our last visit, other than that, we are still happy to go back to the Culloden site.

The Road To Nowhere

An excellent site which is a credit to the friendly and helpful wardens. As motorhomers, the bus service to Inverness was very welcome but the one way system in operation means a double circuit of the winding road round the site if you need to use the service point. Not a serious problem but one which could be remedied. On the up side, the site is an excellent base for visiting the many attractions nearby. Wi-fi would be an improvement but the lack of it doesn't warrant criticism.

Colloden Club Site September 2015

This Club Site is well worth a visit, it is well laid out site regards accessability, with plenty of space between units. Toilet and washing facilities are excellent. The wardens are very friendly and helpful and work hard to keep the whole site in perfect condition. Two minus points. A one way system is in operation for all vehicles such requires all traffic to pass the Toilet and Child's play area and with some people not keeping to the 5 MPH greatly increases an accident.  Last point no Wi-Fi available on site is a disadvantage these days. All going well it will be a pleasure to visit this lovely site again.

New layout one way system shocking

As a regular at this site I can't understand why someone would like too waste money buying flower boxes chains posts and battle ship grey paint too turn this idyllic site into a crazy and ridiculous one way system could someone from SCC visit and have this put right

Site review

This site is a credit to the wardens hard work .The toilets and shower block is perfectly clean and the wardens were very friendly and polite. How ever it was disappointing not to have wifi, and also the new one way system is a bit tedious .I am sure with a bit more planning the one way system can be sorted properly.

Enjoyable and relaxing stay.

Immaculate site as well as the toilet block. We have been many times before. Only criticism is the lack of wifi compounded with a poor mobile signal.

Loch Ness Marathon

Excellent site, but the lack of WiFi was a problem, as we were supporting our daughter and friends taking part in the Loch Ness Marathon.
