Super Site!

We only booked stay a couple of nights at beginning of October, but so nice that we stayed the week! The wardens are fantastic, really helpful & friendly. They work so hard at keeping the site immaculate. Yes the showers are closed for cleaning between 10.30 and noon, but that is the norm on a club site, and how else are they meant to clean them, the time they are shut will never suit everyone. The road to the site is a country road, expect it to be narrow and others to drive fast, but if you drive with care it is fine, and I have experienced worse, it is usually the other drivers who make it difficult. I can imagine the site would be busy in the summer, if you don't like the associated aspects of that it might be best to avoid then, children have to holiday somewhere. Excellent area for walking and cycling as flat. The Royal Military Canal is a must see with an excellent walk/cycle to Hythe. West Hythe is close by with its lovely little business units incorporating a brewery, bakery, and Unit 1 which is a lovely bar selling local beers and ciders and a changing menu due to pop up kitchen. Hythe is your gateway to the RHDR which is an excellent trip down to Dungeness and its lighthouse, cafe and pub. On site laundry at £4 for a wash currently is a great touch. We love the area and will return to this site as it ticks all the right boxes.
