what a find!!!!

Fantastic!!!! Such a fabulous find. We dont have anything negative to say about this site.  Dog walk ( there are 2 but we only used the one ) is lovely with plenty of rabbits to keep our 2 spaniels happy. The pub up the road is well worth a visit too. Everything about this site is 5stars. We are definitely returning for our main holiday next year. Thank you for a lovely holiday.

Delightful Dornafield

This was our first visit to Dornafield and having read all the reviews our expectations were very high - and they were met in every way! The site is very well laid out with plenty of amenities and an exceptionally well stocked information room.  The toilet blocks were always immaculate and the grounds are very well maintained. The site is well placed for exploring the coast, moors and a number of interesting towns and villages. We would particularly recommend the Round Robin circuit which included a river cruise between Totnes and Dartmouth, ferry to Kingswear, steam train to Paignton and open top bus back to Totnes.  The NT property at Coleton Fishacre is an absolute must for a beautiful house and gardens.  Also Agatha Christie's holiday home at Greenacre. Totnes is an interesting town to explore and there is a great walk along the river bank to Dartington Hall with its beautiful grounds. We will certainly be returning as there is still so much to see and do here. Dorafield and its team are really the icing on the cake for us.  Thank you.

Grand kids go mad in Devon

Managed to stay a couple of nights over the bank holiday weekend with the grand kids, the view of the site on the approach was lovely and you knew a couple of great days lay ahead. All the facility's were very clean and having a fresh water and waste water point next to the caravan made life easy, the play area was just what the little ones needed to burn off the energy before bed time. We had a great trip to Torquay the wardens were very helpful, looking forward to returning.

TRANQUILITY throughout our. 'Stormy Period'

My husband & I have just spent 4 weeks at Dornafield, as a stop gap in 'moving house'. We left our home of 33 years in Torquay, which was both exhausting & traumatic. Dornafield was everything we could have hoped for & more. Facilities, cleanliness, welcome, scenery, pitches, environment, location & tranquility second to none. It was just what the doctor ordered. Thank you all at Dornafield??! Caroline & Frank Craig

Outstanding

My wife and I have just had our 2nd holiday at DORNAFIELD and as before it was all we wanted. We can find no faults apart from the fish and chip van we don't think it was fresh fish more like frozen same goes for the chips, and I would add a little over priced. But apart from that we could no faults on this site and we will be going back later this year. So a great big thank you to Peter and everyone at DORNAFIELD. John and Vanessa kennedy

devon heaven

Just returned from a fabulous stay at dornafield. It wowed us when we turned the corner and saw the beautiful house stood by the entrance. On arriving- cannot wish for a warmer welcome from the staff. So helpful and pleasant throughout our stay and we were on pitch 45 in buttermeadow and the wardens down by the dog walk were so informative about the wildlife and info on  and around the site. The shop was wonderfully stocked, papers could be ordered daily before 5pm. Info was always available around the area and discount vouchers attached to the back of the site plan for use at pubs/local attractions . Pitches were superb with loads of room. They had water, waste and even your own shared bin between 2 pitches which was even emptied by the wardens when you displayed your "full" disc to let them know it was ready. The special touches were on the dog walk with a foot brush cleaner by the entrance/exit for any mud on your shoes and even doggy bags supplied on the gate post for "just in case" anyone had forget theirs. The lane is quite narrow down to the park but accessible with pull in places on either sides- however i'm glad for the strict ruling at off by 11am and arrival after 12pm. So sensible. There is a walk to 2 different pubs- both around 3/4 mile in opposite directions from the site but nothing surrounds the site exept glorious peacefulness with deer, badges and wonderful wildlife. Fantastic play area if anyone has small kids. Lovely showers and loo block  immaculately kept at all times. Cant rave about this site, staff & facilities enough. Thanks everyone at dornafield for making us feel so welcome and we really enjoyed our stay. We will see you all soon.

Lovely Campsite

What a beautiful site, peacefull, lovely layout and very friendly wardens.  The toilet and shower facilities are great, very clean and smart.  For food we found the Union Inn excellent, just 3/4 mile up the road in Denbury, although the Two Mile Oak, down the road towards the main road was also acceptable.  Both are dog friendly and serve real ale, which is always a bonus!
