Disappointed

On paper this should be a gem of a site and it does have a lot going got it mainly easy access to the beach but the beach can be quite dirty at times with quite a few decomposing birds and a brown sort of sea grass . The road is very busy and noisy used at times like a race track , The site is clearly used as a stop over so lots of coming snd going The main gripe was the wardens who were not at all friendly. Got the impression they couldn’t be bothered and as dog owners ( and a lot of us staying there were) what we really found offensive was the signs littered round the site stating ‘ no dog peeing on grass’ We presume the wardens wanted dogs to use the toilets or more likely not bring dogs on the site We can only hope signs like these are not endorsed by the club as we have never seen them before

Are you not aware of the club rule that dogs should be exercised off site? There’s plenty of scope for that at Dunnet Bay so no need for people to let their dogs foul the pitching area.

We are all aware of the importance of walking your dog offsite. Nobody appreciates a dog fouling on pitches but there is a big difference between a dog fouling and a dog peeing on grass!! I agree with millymops that I’ve not seen signs like that anywhere else and as a dog owner I think it sounds ludicrous! It does sound like the wardens would prefer not to have dogs on the site.
