Just returned from 2 weeks at this site. The location is superb with the most fantastic beach on your doorstep. We were lucky enough to secure a pitch with a seaview . The park facilities are excellent and spotless. Friendly helpful wardens as per usual on club sites. We used this site as a great base for exploring. Visited Castle of Mey dunnet Head John o Groats the stacks of dunscaby where we  saw puffins and even drove along the coast west of Thurso all the way to the Kyle of Tongue where we stopped along all the coves and beaches along the way. Took the ferry from Gills Bay to Orkney for the day trip which was amazing we were able to visit the stones of Stromness the skara brae and rings of brognar as well as some time in Kirkwall and the churchill barriers before getting the last ferry home. The only downside was a few dodgy days with weather and high winds which we lost our awning to one day! We also went along to St John's pool to the bird hide and were treated to many varieties. We saw plenty of seals everywhere we went  and also a few sea eagles! Had a fantastic break which was well worth the long drive up very winding roads with breathtaking views to the top of the island!!
