Good for families

My least favourite out of the ten sites used to tour Scotland.

We have been touring Scotland in a hired motor home normally we are caravan owners. There are several things I found wrong with this site. Firstly it feels like a rally on a school field. There are no separations between the pitches like hedges/trees or fencing. Secondly, the pitch which we had a lovely aspect but was really uneven. Thirdly, the entrance has only one space to pull into when you arrive which is in front of the motor home filling station. This caused a lot of trouble when you needed to empty the waste and fill the tanks as people parked there to register and you were unable to wait as there was nowhere to go. Fourthly, it was noisy, the main road to John O Groats runs along side the site. It is a constant hum day and night. The good things were the key operated toilet block, however I think this was only due to the close proximity to a car park which is next door to the entrance barrier and seems to have people staying overnight there. It is in a lovely position looking over the beach if you get one of those pitches and good for John O Groats plus ferries for the islands.
