Absolutely Briilliant

On arrival, the wardens were so friendly, helpful. The lady (sorry didn't get her name) was so smiley and helpful that you were made to feel so welcome. People have complained about the noise of the road, but you are next to the A1,but didn't bother us. The facilities are great. Toilet block spotless. I honestly can't complain. The walk to the park and ride isn't bad, just have to use common sense on crossing roads. We used the park and ride everyday. We went to the Beamish Museum..... From Durham catch the X21 or the 21 to Chester Le Street then walk around the corner to the Market Place to catch the 28 to Beamish which takes you right into the complex and drops you outside the entrance. If you show your bus tickets you get 25% discount on entrance fee .Going to Newcastle get the X21 or 21 direct to Newcastle which is another great day out. Also caught the bus 265 to Seaham. The site is a great place to visit and to leave your car and explore the area.Durham itself is a great place to visit. Thank you to the wardens for a pleasant stay
