We have stayed at Durham twice this year already. On both occasions the site lived up to its reputation. On our second visit last weekend we had one of those moments!! We had collected our van directly from being serviced and went straight to site. All seemed ok until the electric cable was connected. Nothing, not a spark or flicker from anything. After much growling and connecting and replugging still nothing. Then a helping hand appeared form nowhere, well the wardens office anyway. A tester was located, supply confirmed at post, cable tested at van end all with power available. after resetting all switches and trip contacts, sorted!! Do we need wardens with a logical mind? I certainly did!! Thank you very much indeed. Apparently the service included winterising the van and closing everything down on it ready for winter, in February, when our season had already started, eer, thanks guys.
