Hidden Treasure

We stayed here for four nights. Lots of people came and went en route north or south for just one night, as the site is handy for the M6, but boy, did they miss out! This is a beautifully kept site, with lovely flowers and shrubs, the pitches are large and flat. There are meandering paths around the site for walks, as well as an off-lead field. But immediately adjacent is a beautiful and extensive woodland with many walks, some ponds, and this is the way to the nearby village pub. We didn't try the pub ourselves but were told it was dog-friendly. The wardens were super-friendly and there is a small shop for essentials and non-essentials, like ice cream! The villages round and about were charming, the countryside very pretty. There are no toilet facilities on site, which is surprising, but everything else was in tip-top order including the recycling. We will definitely return.
