What a shower

The best, the very best, very very best showers on any campsite. Excellent place to stay too so near to the town centre.

June 2016

Our stay in June was wonderful. Great site and lovely wardens. Everything was clean and tidy. The dog walk was small, ok for a quick 'comfort' break, but room is always going to be a problem here. The views of the high sides of the valley and the trees are lovely. The village of Dulverton is really lovely, a charm of it's own, with a few pubs, coffee shops, gift shop, fresh bread, fish & chip shop and a supermarket . Apart from a trip to Dunster beach and Minehead and fish and chips, we didn't use the car all week. There are some walks around the village which we shall be investigating next time we visit. Left feeling very relaxed. 5*.

Pretty site , tired town!

We wanted to be on this site so as we could go into the town a little easier with hubby being a little delicate. The site itself was fine. Well maintained and the wardens are really pleasant too.  My only niggle was a small dog walk which coped for a 'little  jobby ' when our dogs required it. It worked for the occasions that we needed it though. Really disappointed with the approach on to the site though! I must add That it was not the sites fault, more the local council! The hedges were in desperate need of trimming back. The old building close to the site was showing signs of vegetation take over too! Just expected more from this village to be honest.  The shops all seemed to close early too on a Saturday? Walked the town for bits and pieces and found it best to get them afterwards on our journey away from Dulverton. Would we come again? Possibly /possibly not to be honest? It needs some council work to pull us back to be honest.

A little gem

Situated just five minutes stroll from the centre of the delightful town of Dulverton, the site is completely surrounded by trees growing on the steep valley sides.  Although not particularly spacious or open, Exmoor House is still a most attractive spot.  It has a pleasant peaceful quality that makes it an ideal location for couples, whether they be walkers, or not!  Exmoor is right on the doorstep.  See you there!

Peaceful site

We decided to stay at this site as it was on our way home to Wales and what a good choice we made. I did not expect Dulverton to be such a lovely town and the site so close and well within walking distance. We were made to feel at home from the outset. The site itself is well maintained, the facilities are second to none and pitches well spaced out. There may not be a play area for children within the site but Dulverton does boast a lovely and safe park, to include a small soccer pitch and other items you'd expect in a park. The town itself is lovely with plenty of places to eat - cafes, pub, restaurant, including Thai. In our short stay we tried The Bridge Inn (5 min walk from the site) and the food was delicious (esp the pie meals). We'll certainly stay again, possibly Christmas next time.

Lovely site, friendly wardens

This is a lovely site in a stunning location. The wardens were friendly and we were able to extend our stay by 1 night with no problem whatsoever. The town is a short walk away and has all the necessary shops for your visit, and the walking is second to none. We did the round walk to Tarr Steps and it was lovely to come back the the site, shower and relax with the sound of the River Barle running by. Will definitely return.

Lovely site BUT

This a truly lovely site in a brilliant location.  It was our second but won't be our last visit.  However the attitude of the lady warden gave a bad impression on arrival.  We were made to feel like naughty children.  We know we arrived early and we're happy to wait to pitch up.  We did not feel she had to keep us waiting until on the dot of 1.00 before we could move on to our pitch.  Fortunately we didn't need to deal with her again and we had a very pleasant stay.

Perfect site

Just got back from staying 9nights at Exmoor house, just can't say enough of praise for this site. Weather was great and had lovely days out across the moors which was beautiful.the Wardens were so cheerful and a credit to the caravan club for also keeping the site so clean and tidy.can honestly say it's the best site I've stayed in England.will return in the near future.

Cracking place to visit

Have just spent 5 days at this gem of a site, as all caravan club sites well kept and wardens keep spotless, lovely pub at the end of the road with great ales and food, would recommend this site highly and will be back again, even though the site was full it was very peaceful and no noise from the site
