Another lovely stay

We have stayed at Ferry Meadows a number of times and have never been disappointed.  It is up to the usual tidy, clean and friendly site that we have come to expect from the Caravan Club.  The walks from the site are almost endless and flat.  A bonus for those of us whose bones are beginning to creak a little.  It's fabulous for dogs, although we have to keep ours on a lead around the lakes as she would be in after the ducks etc! During the school holidays, there are plenty of activites in the park for children and you have the added bonus of the Nene Valley railway-don't tell anyone, but you can get 10% discount on a train ticket with your Caravan Club card.  Definitely one of the jewels in the Clubs crown in our opinion

Very Good Site

Have stayed at Ferry Meadows a few times and have always found it to be a credit to the caravan club. It is quite a large site with pitches s[read over both sides of the road. Its very nice having the country park next door and the Nene Valley Railway just down the road. The walk from site into Peterbourgh isn't too bad either if weather is nice

The Perfect Peaceful Break Everyone Looks For

I have just come back after spending a four day weekend at Ferry Meadows and I have to say it was the best break away I have had in a long time.  The site is quite, away from the road noise, clean, tidy, peaceful and just perfect for families. There are many activities around to keep you amused throughout the day. There are a couple of local pubs and restaurants a stones throw away, in fact a five minute walk down the road from the site. The lakes are beautiful and perfect for walking and nature watching. It was fantastic to see the steam train run past the site on sunday of the Nene Valley Railway. I recommend everyone should take a visit to Ferry Meadows.

perfect for a quiet break

Yet again a lovely break at Ferry Meadows. No one is in a hurry, everyone has time to pass the time of day. Our dog loves the park and field and where there are no birds on the lakes we let her swim. The staff are always helpful and friendly, the place is always lovely and clean. They work hard to keep the place so even though it must be hard at times. So keep up the good work staff and we will see you again very soon. From The Henveys and Maisie the spaniel.

Great site in convenient location off the A1 but no road noise and good transport connections

We stayed here for a couple of nights at the end of January during pretty grim snowy and windy weather, Good pitches available close to the clean and warm toilet block, friendly wardens who were informative about local walks and transport. The location next to the country park means an abundance of wild life to view. We particularly liked the walk into Peterborough centre from the site, its about 4 miles and is on metalled road/path all the way next to the nene valley railway and the river. Its fairly level and not too challenging. Buses into town are available close to the site but expect a journey of 40 mins round the houses. There are a number of local pubs in easy walking distance of the site . In summary really good site for Motorhomers and caravanners alike.

Another fantastic stay

We have stayed at this site on a few occasions now and once again have had another fantastic holiday. The site and facilities were spotless at all times and the wardens were very welcoming. The site was fairly quiet on the day of our departure so we were able to take our time packing away. The walks from the site around the lakes were great and all suitable for pushchairs or wheelchairs. We'll be back again.

Fantastic site

I have just spent 3 nights at this fantastic caravanclub site. On arrival met by friendly helpful staff , picked my very spacious pitch and set off exploring the area. There is so much open space footpaths, cycle routes you can walk for miles with your dog. The cafe on the nature reserve just a few hundred yards from the site seems to be open all year round which is very handy after a long walk. Overall great site , great location we will be back soon.

Ferry Meadows

We arrived a little after 5pm and rang the bell for the wardon as was met by a delightful friendly lady who gave us a number of site pitches to choose from. We were off to a surprise 50th birthday so didn't get to use the full site facility but we found it very quiet very friendly and extremely clean. We will be coming back loaded with the kiddies so we can enjoy the surroundings and all of the Ferry Meadows caravan and camping site. Mandy and Pete
