First visit to this site, made very welcome by the cheerful warden.   Site is situated beside a small loch with a circular walk (about 2 miles, level, well defined footpath); easy walking distance of Forfar town centre which has a good selection of independant shops and an interesting museum.  Aldi, Lidl, Tesco & Farmfoods are on the outskirts nearby. Site, toilets and showers spotlessly clean.  Bins regularly emptied.  Lots of useful local info including a notebook giving other visitors' feedback on eateries which we found helpful. Only negatives are : depending on wind level and direction you can sometimes hear slight traffic noise from the A90 (approx 1 mile away); the gent's shower block does not have a mirror so you have to go back into the toilet block if you need to comb your hair; site might benefit from a footpath across the grass to the toilet block but these are VERY minor niggles.
