Noisy in the evenings and weekends

Whilst the site is lovely it is a real shame that some of the pitches are near the adventure playground which is alongside part of the site. In the evenings, particularly Fridays and Saturdays, this area was taken over by noisy yobs who shouted and screamed well past midnight. Our caravan was on one of the service pitches one row away from the fencing but within easy reach if one of them took it into their heads to chuck stuff over. I had looked at this site a couple of years ago but decided not to visit owing to previous comments about the proximity of this public area and balls being thrown at the vans from the football pitch which adjoins another part of the site. However, we wanted to visit the area so thought we would give it a go but after this experience I don't thing we would return. It is such a shame that the police don't patrol the area more frequently as the visitors to this site must bring revenue to the local area. I realise The Caravan Club can't do anything about it and it is sad that all the hard work on the part of the staff is undermined by mindless morons.

Comment On The Current Reviews

These recent reviews are so disappointing to read, we have previously visited Forfar and found it a well kept site in a great location. It was to be revisited earlier this year as part of a big 14 site tour of Scotland but that was cancelled due to the lockdown. However, after seeing 5 reviews with the same problem over the last month we will not be including it when we re-book the tour. The reviews all citied antisocial behaviour and problems from youths at the nearby play area (dependant on pitch location) and we do not wish to risk damage to our first ever new caravan or indeed, encounter late night noise and abusive youths.

The CAMHC needs to support the wardens by putting pressure on the local police to resolve this problem.
The ASB Crime and Policing Act 2014 was brought in specifically to provide the police with powers to sort out this type of issue so they should be engaging with it.
We previously enjoyed staying here and would like to feel that it was safe to go back. Hope to read better reviews soon.
