Best in the area

This is one of our favorite sites. Just the right size for us, and in the right area for our holidays. We have been coming here, both singly and as a couple for over 10 years now and the welcome from Johnny and Nerys makes it. Just wish it was open all year!

Great site!

This is one of the best caravan sites around. Beautiful surroundings great for walks from site. Excellent small paddock just for dogs, well fenced. Facilities are very clean at all times. Jonny and Nerys are lovely friendly people who work hard to keep this site so good. The only 'down side to this site is when you pack up and leave!

Would go back tomorrow!

One of the clearest signed CC site we have ever been to. Lovely welcome by the owners who had set aside two pitches next to each other for our friends and us. The site is on a slope and levellers may be required and you do tend to get the wind at the top of the site but the view is glorious. Toilet facilities are a bit dated but very clean all the time, WiFi is by donation to their charity. The owners do a charity Hog roast once a year for the Air Ambulance and it was the Saturday we were there. A couple of cobbled together bands provided entertainment, though sometimes more laughter than music ensued!! A good night was had by all for sure and the site raised over £800 for a very worthy cause. As the title says we would go back tomorrow, there is so much to see and do in this part of Wales

Beautiful site in a beautiful landscape

This is a superb site spotlessly kept and very well maintained. Nothing was too much trouble for Nerys and Jonny who gave us a really warm welcome and helped us enormously. It is in an exceptional landscape in an area of outstanding natural beauty. Wonderful!

As it says on the tin,, a rural site!,,It is wonderfully peaceful, with the friendliest wardens I have come across anywhere!,, dated toilets, but as usual for cc, spotless,, definitely need levellers for most pitches, and only 10 EHU,, but still a lovely little site

Comment from The Club:

Many thanks for taking the time to leave a review and we are so pleased to read you enjoyed your stay here. The site staff have been in touch as they wanted to advise that there are actually 38 Electric Hook Ups on site. I hope this helps clear up any confusion and thank you again for leaving a review.

A little cracker.

What a lovely place. The owners could not have been more pleasant and helpful and the site is spotless. Beautiful views, peace and tranquillity all made for a great few days. Ideal base for Corwen, Bala and Llangollen and a few nice local attractions such as The Rhug Estate, Rug Chapel and Llangar Church. We will definitely be returning.

Lovely little site in the country

This is a very nice site in a rural location. The wardens are very friendly and helpful. Pitches nicely kept and all the usual facilities. The showers, etc., look a bit old by Club standards, but were immaculately clean, and I found them to be very good - the shower cubicles in particular are a very good design, with more space than the modern standard.  Although the site is remote, there is still a bit of noise from the A5 in the distance (mainly motorbikes!); and don't confuse the countryside with peace and quiet: when I was there, the crows were making a real racket in the evening, and I was awakened before 7.00 am by a tractor beginning a ploughing session right behind my van!  The village of Corwen is at least a couple of miles away: walkable, but it takes a while, and most of the walk is along the busy A5. Corwen has a selection of places to eat and drink, including a chip shop. The Rhug Estate farm shop, restaurant and snack bar has some interesting things on offer, and is only a 10 minute walk away, but it isn't cheap. Overall, a lovely little site in  nice location, and a good base for touring the area.

Excellent

Just come back from visiting may 2015. Read reviews before booking site, all very good but still never sure unless you visit yourself. All very true cannot fault the site at all. The owners are helpful pleasant people    , the site is so clean from the grounds to the toilet blocks. Will definitely be visiting again!

Just Great

We have stayed here in 2014 and decided to have another short break at the start of the season (9-12th April). We were surprised to see that it was exactly as we had seen it at the end of the season last year. Toilets clean and spotless (just been painted for the new season), grass in really good condition which was surprising considering the winter. Plenty of service points, adequate shop and most of all the friendliness of the Wardens, certainly does The caravan Club proud. We will be staying here again and again as central to tourist attractions and Corwen Village has shops for everything that you would need (if you had forgot anything!). All in all an enjoyable stay at a great little hideaway. P.s. The White Water rafting Centre near Bala is good for a few hours of fun watching the rafters, there are good walks by the river.
