Pros and Cons

A quiet site that even our grandchildren remarked on, in a positive way I might add! On arrival the warden explained where everything was including the information that waste was sorted at a recycling centre and not on site. I wish more sites would explain what can be recycled! I didn't have a problem with being allocated a pitch although given the number of empty pitches I also thought this a bit strange. I did manage to bend a few pegs when putting the awning up and perhaps advice on this could be included in the site description. At Tredegar Park, however, I did manage to bend almost everyone! Is this a Welsh problem? The toilets were clean and, although the building was some years old, the interior and the shower fittings were clean and modern. What a pleasure to be able to put your clothes/towel somewhere dry whilst showering! Wifi was good and we managed to watch the Hungarian GP on SkyGo without a problem. Although this may change if the site was full. The lack of an information room has been pointed out elsewhere and I agree this would have been useful. There was no play area which our grandchildren did not find a problem, only learning of a field for ball play when we were leaving! A small point but one that frustrates me is the short length of hosepipe at many CEP's, not here! A nice long pipe that doesn't kink when you use it was a bonus! The warden was friendly and helpful, especially when we were leaving, not that he wanted rid of us I am sure! Would we visit again, yes, without a doubt.
