Garlieston - Idyllic site by the sea, quiet quiet and more quiet

Fabulous quiet site for those members who enjoy quiet sites with good walks and great scenery. Lets be honest unless you are the fit family theres nothing for kids - Seaside and a play park up the road. Village itself has a pub and restaurant/new cafe, eaterie and a diesel only garage that stocks essentials Nearest mini supermarket is in Wigton about 7.5 mls away, but its well stocked. We're just back from 12 nights - completely dry and three days of 27 degs, stayed in the walled garden which we find quieter and more secluded than the seafront side. Great friendly warden in Judith and Edgar who warmly welcomed and were always up for a wee chat - very helpful folks who work hard to keep the high standards across the site. Only downside is the motorhome service point which for some bizarre reason has been placed in the walled garden and due to the nature of the area causes backlogs and traffic issues that mean some folks can be unable to get out till either on or off site whilst Mhomes are being serviced Temporary downside is wifi - even the hotspot is useless - that plus if your are on EE you will be struggling - or maybe both those are benefits.....
