Great site

Great site situated 5 mins walk from Godrevy dunes and a 15 min walk to fantastic surfing beaches.Stayed here several times and make use of bus stopping outside site to travel to Hayle and St Ives. You can walk to Hayle but I consider the road to be very dangerous as you have to use a blind corner and traffic travels quickly , although the farmer has provided a passage alongside his field which enables you to miss this bend but can be messy when wet.Although the site has no hardstandings we stayed after 2 weeks of heavy rain and we had no problems using common sense on how to park your motorhome .It is great site for dog owners as the walks are never ending . BUT I have to complain about dog owners not cleaning up after their dogs and not walking them to the dog walk , 200 metres max. I was disappointed at owners letting their dogs mess on plots as we all want to sit outside in the sun and do not want the smell of dogs business . The wardens responded brilliantly to complaints BUT it is not their job , it is you dog owners ( of which I am one) to keep our campsites clean. This is not just a moan about Godrevy but all campsites so dog owners step up to the mark and prevent non dog owners from hating us more. Eat at Red River Inn in village , very good .Eat at Salt kitchen in Hayle very good , both dog friendly. Eat at Union Inn St Ives , very good , dog friendly and had 2 steaks and a bottle of wine £20 , not bad . I would love this site to be improved so as to make it open all year ( hardstandings ) .
