Nice site, friendly wardens and decent size pitches, but would be much better with hard-standings, as the land is very sandy and full of rabbit droppings which walk into the van. Very dark at night, so watch out for rabbit holes when walking to toilet blocks. Also, the exit to one of the toilet blocks has a step which slopes slightly down and I slipped off this (as I didn't see it in the dim light) and badly sprained my ankle. You can't drive into St Ives so have to take the train. Not an ideal place for motorhomes.

Many thanks for leaving a review and we are very sorry to hear that you slipped and hurt your ankle.  The Wardens at the site have been in touch with us and advise that the area around the toilet blocks is well illuminated all night.  Re parking in St Ives - this is always a problem and most visitors  prefer to take the train as it is less stressful. 

During the peak times, it is highly recommended that you use the Park and Ride car park at Lelant Saltings railway station.

There is also a park and ride bus service operating from the Trenwith Car Park to Royal Square. More information regarding parking can be found on the Visit St Ives website under car parking.
