We have returned to this site as it’s well located and clean. It really is spotless. We have had a couple of niggles which have prevented full 5 ticks. The bins are located a long way from many pitches and you end up putting rubbish in car and dropping as you leave. We also have found the staff to be very serious, don’t get me wrong they run a very tight ship but they are not of happy disposition. Staff do not seem friendly they are not rude they just give information (rules) in a very dry and direct way. Some of the rules we found to be a bit petty E.g today we stopped to chat to a fellow camper, no other vehicles coming, turned engine off and pulled to side (in car and only stopped for 2 mins) and we were told to please move on. There really was no harm with us chatting and being sociable. We also got reminded that dogs must be on a line no longer than 2m, again not a massive deal but there was no smile or any friendly chat. On arrival it was a very brief and formal chat of what to do. We just feel that if people are working in hospitality then they should be more chatty and friendly but maybe that’s our opinion but normally it’s lovely to chat to staff and find out about the area etc. Basically if you like a clean site and it’s in a good location for you it’s great. For us we would come back but we may try another site to see if this is the ethos post covid on all sites.
