A winning bet

The Wardens keep this site spic and span. The new toilet block (unusual for a racecourse site) was shining clean when we visited. A credit to the Wardens. An all grass site this should not put off those that prefer hard standing as the going is firm and level. Our visit coincided with a race meeting, an added interest and most enjoyable despite the cold snap (May). There is some safe cycling for those that wish it, to Great Yarmouth and to Caister on Sea. Great Yarmouth is a candy floss and ice cream sort of place, if that is what you like. You'll need to put your hand in your pocket to entertain the kids? A regular 'bus service runs from near to the site entrance. Caister is much smaller with less in the way of entertainment. The independent lifeboat station is worth a visit and your support, while The Ship Inn, Caister, serves very good food in a very pleasant environment. The beach looked good but we didn't venture onto it this time. Our first visit and hopefully not our last.
