Once our favourite site - in the days of wardens Beryl and Dave. We used to spend countless hours in the hide at the back of the site, watching multiple woodpeckers, jays and pied flycatchers, fledgling nuthatches, etc. But alas no more, the bird watching facility has all but gone - why? Only a faded bird recognition chart survives - not even a seat in the dilapidated hide. The inevitable rain did nothing to lift our depression, we couldn't even shelter in the hide. Where are B + D now when you need them?! Could the club PLEASE resurrect this facility? Nothing against the current wardens though, very pleasant and friendly - as you would expect from Lancashire!
