Tired Site

The only positive about this site is the location, which is well placed for walkers and cyclists, with some good pubs and eating places. It’s in a very peaceful location which we like, but appreciate its not for everyone and a couple of visitors at the same time noted that it was too quiet for them. The site itself is tired to say the least. The facilities block is old and not particularly clean. The showers flood, water temperature inconsistent (showers cool/sinks too hot), the hooks in the showers are mainly broken so your clothes end up on the floor, the velux windows don’t appear to have been cleaned since they were installed and the overall feel is one of neglect. Given that caravan club prices are seeing significant increase this year it doesn’t feel like you are getting value for money, I can only agree with other reviewer about the wardens; they appear to have different rules for either “preferred” customers or friends and a pitch can be reserved. We were told it was for large outfits, but this did not appear to be the case when the outfits turned up on site!
