Good for families

Small and friendly.

Only our third trip as caravanners and all on club sites, this did not disappoint. Really nice welcome, chatty friendly and a big smile. Explained why the pitch is selected for us, due to small site and busy at weekends. Not a problem for us as any pitch on the site would have been suitable. Hebden Bridge is a lively market town with local businesses and lack of national chain shops a plus. It gets busy at weekends as people travel from all over to have a drink/food in the many establishments available. Nice market on the Saturday we was there and plenty of small craft type shops to spend in. The 901 bus is outside the gates into the middle of Hebden and will also take you a couple of stops up the road to the Robin Hood pub on your way back. Walked 10-15 minutes to the pub on the Friday and highly recommended for a large selection of reasonably priced drinks and excellent food. If you like pies it's homemade heaven all cooked freshly to order and friendly staff. Booking recommended. Our pitch probably the furthest from the office, had for the can't live without wifi, excellent speed. Not sure if it's part of the free rollout across club sites, but BT at log in would suggest it is. 80mbps when tried at 4.00am when waking at the usual time (managed another couple of hours when realised it wasn't a work day) and a quick look at the morning news as people stirred and logged in gave us 15mbps, plenty enough to stream. Away from the tinterwebs for a few days is welcome to us, but realise for many it is important, especially with children. Overall a great short break on a great little site.
