Good for families

Ok, but not wonderful

We were only there for two nights and it is a great base for visiting Henley-On-Thames - a short walk into the town. However, we didn't think it was a pleasant walk - the road was fast and busy and you had to cross from one side to the other a couple of times. Also if you're silly enough to attempt it in the dark like we were then you will find it is pitch black in places - so take a torch! The same road also meant that it was noisy where we were pitched and we were glad it wasn't nice weather and so didn't want to sit outside. We found the usual high standard for CAMCH sites in terms of the site and the facilities. We found the lady on reception a little unwelcoming but I see that others have found this to be different so maybe it's a different lady or she was having a bad day! We walked to the touring park along the road for breakfast and to watch the rugby and that was fabulous food and service!
