We followed the SD directions to the site from the M6 and the final few miles are very narrow lanes, luckily we didn't meet anything. Check in was smooth and the site staff were friendly and helpful, especially liked the fact they give you a sheet with directions back to the A5 from the site. The site is fairly small with a mix of grass and hardstanding pitches of which quite a few are non awning, these are grouped together in one area. The grass was in very good condition but some of the hardstanding pitches were very worn and were overgrown in places with weeds and grass. The service points though are well spaced. The site is in the middle of nowhere so is very quiet. We walked to the canal from the site along the quiet lanes. Penkridge market is well worth a visit, we also visited Lilleshall Priory. The dog walk is just across the road but although the site leaflet said dogs could be off lead, a notice on the gate said that dogs must be kept on a lead, which was a bit disappointing. The pub at Wheaton Aston near the canal was very pleasant.
