Our first WINTER outing

Site and all facilities - pristine, with the showers HOT and the toilet block nice and warm. Didn't have much contact with the wardens but they were helpful and friendly when we checked in and chatty when met around the site. Good location a couple of miles from (the delightful) Wareham. Another reviewer commented about the road passing the site being narrow and busy with no footpath, I agree. Not a problem for adults but with children extra care is definitely needed. All in all a lovely stay, weather was fine and cold but it was a good refresher after the excesses of Christmas.

Nice site, friendly wardens, shame about the road!

we've stayed here 3 times now and always find it to be spotlessly clean, well run and good for visiting the surrounding area which includes Lulworth Cove, Corfe Castle, Poole to name a few. The only problem with the locations is that it is by the side of a busy road, which makes it difficult to walk along to the nearby Wareham Forest. Not totally impossible, as there are muddy verges to hop onto when cars speed past. A path would be great. It is a couple of miles to the train station also, so not easily walkable and night time walking is a definite no. Shame really, as the pub just a mile away is fab. We used a taxi one day to take us to the station which cost £7, but was very reliable. There is parking at the station also, but if you have a large motorhome to park, then maybe not! Wareham itself, is a very pretty place with many nice restaurants and little independent shops.

Lovely early break!

We decided to have a January outing in the van for the first time, totally loved this site quiet and very clean!! Super staff very friendly and helpful. The site has direct access to Wareham forest which is fantastic for walking the dogs. TV reception is dodgy, even when using the booster in the bollard. A very well maintained site with a good on site dog area and a massive field for kids to utilize. The silent woman pub was only a couple of mins away and a fantastic Sunday lunch was enjoyed. The pub is fantastic, being adults only, children are allowed in the beer garden and outside areas, but the dogs are welcome in the bar..!! We will be returning a little later in the year when hopefully it will be a touch warmer!!

FIRST OUTING OF 2015

This is one of our favourite sites.  Cheryl and her husband are lovely but I wasn't impressed with the wi-fi.  We paid £10 but we were only there for 5 nights and we could only use 1 device.  My husband and me both have iPads & my mobile has an Internet connection.  We could only use 1 iPad which I find quite ludicrous.  Also the 24 hour deal for £2.50 needs revising. Why can't we pay for 24 hours and spread it over several days? After all no-one stays on their device for 24 hours.

First trip of 2015

Convenient site for Swanage and Corfe Castle. First time out in a motorhome after years in caravans so it was all very interesting. Not a good choice of pitch on our part as the quarry was quite noisy. Shower block kept well as are all Caravan Club ones but we did not find the water very warm in the showers.

Excellent site

The site is excellent the facilities are always clean, warm and available. The wardens are friendly and very accommodating. We arrive at various times due to ferry times and have always found them to be gracious and flexible if our arrival times go astray. We would thoroughly recommend this site. It is within easy driving distance of Wareham, Poole and Weymouth and has several lovely walks in the immediate area.

Happy New Year

This was our first time being away over the New Year break, and we stay four 4 nights. This was the first Caravan Club site we stayed at after becoming members last year. We loved it the first time we stayed, and the site did not disappoint again. The wardens are all so friendly and helpful. The shower blocks are as always spotless, and the general tidiness of the site is to the highest standard. The drinks party hosted by the wardens on New Year Eve was a lovely touch, and nice to chat to other members. If all goes well we will be back next New Year.
