First impressions on arrival

Due to lack of traffic arrived 27 minutes early to site but parked in late arrivals and waited behind 2 other families. We were greeted by a very rude head warden who stomped over to us and told us we were causing chaos arriving early. This was not true as cars etc could enter and leave site easily. We explained about traffic but she was not interested and walked off. At 12.00 we were greeted by head warden's husband who told my husband to wait in car and woman go pay. Very caveman attitude! The site is advertising for wardens and highlights interpersonal and customer service skills required. Think the head wardens could do with a refresher course. Luckily the other 2 sets of wardens were very friendly. We have previously stayed here luckily, otherwise first impressions would have been off putting. Apart from that site is nice, quiet, and great location for walking to beach.

There seams to more and more members having to wait before they are allowed on site

To me a simple solution to me would be:-

  • Check the member has a reservation on arrival I think all members will have nowadays
  • If they have a reservation hand your membership card to the Warden
  • Member to find a pitch and set up
  • Return to office when there is no queue and book in

I have arrived at several sites this year 2 or more caravans block everything up, it is not possible to gauge the traffic situation nowadays.

I normally travel on the continent and most  sites  provide the pitch numbers that are vacant and hold your ACSI card until you are set up.

It is a problem that does not need to exist
