Fabulous site, great access and the friendliness of staff

Great friendly and informative staff, nothings a problem, always willing to have a chat despite constantly maintaining the site. Excellent and spotless facilities. Everything is in top order and it is evident the staff take great pride in the site. Access - is directly off the A303 (yes do your homework - google maps etc to see your route and any access issues - we did /do always and went on a mile, down the off slip under the A303 and back to make a right turn to Giants Grave - easy/safe even with a 9m twin axle motorhome, ditto when leaving). And of course the benefit of the easy A303 access means that yes there will be road noise and as its in the countryside there will be normal countryside smells. But this closeness to the A303 makes the site an ideal stop for those travelling to Devon or Cornwall (and viz versa) as well as an ideal place to explore the Blackdown Hills (an AONB). Great walks along the quiet lanes around the site for dog walks or try Castle Neroche a short drive away for a fabulous forest walk. Some really outstanding pubs nearby - The Candlelight, the Flag & Lamb & the Eagle (masquerading as a pub but a really authentic Italian)
