Peaceful-ish...

If you're looking for peace and quiet, this could be the one for you. I say this even though some neighbours felt it necessary to sit outside their motorhome chatting well into the early hours! There's no nearby bus stop, or shops, so you'll be driving. Chard is the nearest town, about ten minutes away, but do visit Honiton, and definitely do not miss Exeter and Taunton, all within half an hour. The new facilities block is a great improvement on previously, and my only criticism there is that there weren't enough private cubicles, particularly on a Bank Holiday weekend. Presumably, it'd be OK at most other times. There's a friendly welcome, and the area is clean and tidy, which is all good news, but this is a site that we feel fits into the 'not very exciting' category. Of course, as we all have differing ideas of the ideal requirements, this may tick all of your boxes, but this is not a site that we can get enthusiastic about. WARNING: The entry to and from the nearby A303 is difficult at the best of times, and in either direction, but it's really the only way to get to, or leave, the place. It's not recommended for nervous or inexperienced motorists...
