peaceful site
Stayed for 5 nights and cycled to Chard, Barrington Hall, Montecute house and other National Trust properties. The site sits at one of the highest points in the area, and the roads within an area of a mile or two around it are very steep. However, once you are North of the site you are in the Somerset flat lands, with great villages and historic places.
I agree with others regarding the junction with A303 and there should be clearer signage to warn of this crossroads. There is a 50mph limit on this stretch, and most drivers seemed to be complying.
One special note regarding the new toilet block.......the best I have seen. Great design and and first class fittings, which should be copied by other CC sites.
