Good for families

Lovely site spoilt by grumpy campers

We took two of our young grand children (5 and 7) in August so during school holidays. We have to say that the wardens and toilet block are superb and cannot be faulted. Unfortunately it cannot be said the same for some of the other campers. These were mainly senior citizens whom notably did not have young children with them so why they chose to be in a seaside site in the middle of school holidays is questionable but obviously there choice. If the site lacks one thing it is an open expanse for children to play in. There is a play area but it has swing, climbing frames etc but you cannot play ball games. As a very large family site covering a vast area there is a need for open play area's for children to play and given the site size needs to be several of so that parents and grand parents can allow the children to play within close range of the pitches in safety. We are members of both CC and C&CC and based on this trip we can see why the other club is considered to be the "friendly club". We as perhaps others should consider going to adult only sites during school holidays if they find problems with having children around them wanting to enjoy theirselves.
