Weekend visit to Kendal Club Site

A little out of the way - but what do you expect for peace and quiet?  But absolutely lovely, right next to the river and very well kept and maintained.  We only stayed 2 nights for a well needed weekend break and found the site relaxing (despite being the start of half term) and set in some lovely countryside.  Mostly wooded, but some open pitches, and steeped in history of a Gunpowder works (It's quite safe now!!!).  The site reception / shop is stocked better than I've seen a lot of other  Caravan Club Site receptions and arriving on Friday was well timed as that is Fish and Chip shop van night :-) We visited in mid-late October so it was a bit wet weather-wise, but the colours in the trees were magnificent.  We will certainly try to return may be in springtime.
