An absolute gem!

We visited Kendal for one night on our way from Gloucestershire to Scotland. Never been before but what a gem of a site! For those who don't like the regimented rows of vans on some club sites, this might be for you. Caravans, motor homes and campers are nestled in small groups in woodland. The site is on many levels and the pitches are gravelled but may not all be completely level so levelling blocks/ramps may be required. The site is picturesque with a watercourse running through it and when we were there, there was an abundance of wild garlic, bluebells and May and the scents were lovely. TV reception on our pitch, (100), was fine as was internet on 3/4G. The toilet blocks are quite small but perfectly adequate and as we have come to expect at CAMC sites, spotless. There is a good 30 minute walk from the site to the excellent Strickland Arms pub which is mainly level and easy especially in dry weather. (There are two fields to cross). We were blessed with lovely spring weather so maybe that has influenced this review but we loved the site and it's on the list to return.
