Windy Visit

Just had yet another weekend in Knaresborough. The weather was wild but did not put a damper on our weekend. The site is 1 3/4 miles out side of Knaresborough. Quiet location with a lovely bistro on site with plenty of space between pitches. Just a short walk from the site is the Guy Fawkes public house. The hospitality and the food is amazing. Make sure you book as they get very busy

Lovely site

Stayed here for the first time just for a short break. The weather wasn't great but we felt if we enjoyed the site in Winter then we would be back in the Summer. The facilities are good & clean. The site is a little out of Knaresborough but not a problem & plenty of places to get to for days out. There is a bus stop outside the site although we didn't use public transport on this occasion. Like a previous review, there is a little noise from a farm generator nearby. We had a pitch quite a way from it but could still hear it. The Bistro on site is an added bonus. We treated ourselves to a 3 course meal on the last night & really enjoyed it. Ample portions for us, friendly service & the meal was hot, always a good indicator. Can imagine it could be very busy at the height of the season. Cannot rate the facilities for families as it does not apply to us. We will be back at some point.

Knaresborough

This was our first visit to Knaresborough and will definitely not be the last. The weather was windy and cold but this was the only negative. The site was quiet and peaceful apart from the dull background sound from the adjacent farm which went on until 10pm. The staff were friendly and the bar was an added bonus which we used for a quick drink twice. Walking into Knaresborough was a delight and we had a pleasant walk around the town with a coffee in Nero's. We look forward to returning in 2016.

Knaresborough

This was my 1st time at knaresborough cc site brilliant site toilets block superb under floor heating the walk into knaresborough took about 20 mins which is fine the town is well worth a visit plenty to see and do train to Harrogate are regular cost £4 return 1 bad point the bistro on site is supposed to be open till 10 o'clock on a sat night we got in at 9.35 pm and told it's stopped serving so we left I don't see the point of having a notice saying open till 10 if your not abit disappointed due the the fact we came back early so we could have a drink with fellow caravaners besides that it is a fantastic site and I'll be going back again next year

Even awful awful weather did not put us off.

A week of truly awful weather will not put us off visiting Knaresborough again in spring or summer 2016. The amenities were spot on, underfloor heating in the toilet/ shower block a real bonus. Wardens very helpful and very apologetic about the terrible weather, as if they could help it. Knaresborough good for shopping and pubs, The High Street Weatherspoons excellent. Some nice river walks to be experienced on our next visit. The one down side, we were on a pitch at the top of the site, and the noise from the local farms generator was a bit of a pain, it ran till 10pm most nights. All in all we look forward to visiting here again, if we are able to book in to this very popular site.

Visit to Knaresborough CC

Unfortunately, the weather was very bad--very windy, rain, cold, but having looked around a little on our short stay, we hope to visit again for longer in the Spring. The site was very well kept, not necessarily geared up on site for children, but an excellent spot from which to walk and visit local places of interest--Bistro, good to have on site.

Super Site

Just had 5 nights at this wonderful site. Spotlessly clean in all respects, warm wash block . Wardens were extremely friendly and welcoming. This was our first visit but will definitely be returning. A good 35 mins walk to Knaresborough where you can catch buses to various places, buses from site not so good and very expensive if you don't have bus pass. The Guy Fawkes Arms in Scotton was brilliant, great food, guest ales, coal fire and fabulously friendly staff. Congrats to the staff here, the site is a credit to you. We will certainly be coming back. Thank you.

Great site

First time out in our new motorhome, stayed here for 3 nights.  Wardens very friendly, site spotless, facilities excellent.  Half hour walk into Knaresborough on market day, lovely town.  Following day took train to Harrogate from Knaresborough.  Will certainly be back.

Hot-foot it to Knaresborough

Booked a night here on our way from Scotland to Norfolk in November. Expecting a bog-standard facilities block (pun intended), imagine our surprise and delight to find heated floors in the shower area. Luxury. Wow !
