Good for families

Good adult site

Only stayed one night on route to other sites within Chirk/Ellesmere area. Found it very peaceful, with good facilities and reasonable site fees. Two short dog walking areas on site (not enough for our English Springer Spaniel) but going off site we ventured onto the canal towpath and walked through Chirk tunnel (good experience and one for the 'bucket list' being ticked off (having a couple years back navigated the tunnel on a narrowboat). Short walk into Chirk (downhill) once outside the site, just by Chirk Castle gates (which very impressive and the history of them). Extensive walk available through Chirk Castle grounds but if taking your dog, this has to be on lead, as sheep freely graze. Would definitely return to the site.
