Could do better

Overall a very pleasant overnight stop but a few things could have been better with a little effort When we arrived as normal we were asked to go and choose a pitch and return to the office, the site has a one way system so you can’t drive all the way round without exiting via the magnetic card controlled barriers but they don’t give you a pass to allow that so your stuck at the exit barriers. The electric points have an unusual connection where you need to twist the connection, I’m sure this may be used on other sites so if you are familiar with this system then fine but it would be useful for it to be commented on when we checked in. We asked at reception if there was a set route route to cycle to the sea avoiding the busy road and were told no just “follow your nose straight down’ in fact there is even a page on the site web page that shows a far more user friendly route. The club leaflet recommends the Six Bells however at 4 pm on Sunday it was closed there is another pub the locomotive just as close which we found to be quite acceptable

Be very glad of the security barrier system on this site - it’s needed. I’m guessing you did two laps of the site in your search for a pitch. It’s not a big deal if you were only stuck the once.

The hook up bollards are not at all unusual and you really can’t hold the wardens or the club responsible for the pub being closed.

Could do better - really? I think that’s a bit harsh.

What a strange "review?" to complain about security?  The b ollards on not at all strange as they are found on plenty of club sites and are only replaced when needed by the cheaper less secure type

How is it the club/warden responsible for pub opening times?

I take it by some of your comments you seem inexperienced /new to this type of leisure persuitsurprised

I think you’re probably right about Slee being new, JV, as this is his/her first activity on the CT site.

Welcome, Slee, but perhaps you are being a little unrealistic in your expectations.

Enjoyed stay, leaflet for walk  long way into the town or just our map reading, found straighter way back but was via main road. Suited our purposes for what we wanted to do ideally, buses to Arundel every hour so timing is everything but well worth a visit
