Listen to the Lions ....19/07 - 26/07

4th visit to the site , love the location and love the estate although it is not as dog friendly as it used to be . We chose our pitch and set up, possibly not the best pitch we could have chosen but OK . You live and learn! Don't pitch under a big tree ! The first evening the lions were in full voice and continued so throughout our stay which was great, as were the sea lions ! Having been there for most of the week we were asked to move our "dog fence" as it was partially on the grass (about 6 inches ) on one side , not impressed but you do as you are told ! Poor dog had to lie on the pebbles then . The "rubber band system " of 2 persons in the facilities did not work due to the amount of people who ignored the two bands on the hooks, forgot their bands and left them there, or did not even bother to take them to the building at all . The system is impractical for the size of the building particularly when two people were using the showers which takes the longest time, causing long queues outside when people wanted the toilets or sinks . Having worked throughout the pandemic a much needed break was needed and as the phone signal is none existent it was just that . Good walks nearby for the dogs , take a trip to Shear Water, a lovely place and a good cafe too .
